Meet the Demo Day awarded startups
The Demo Day of the BNP Paribas International Hackathon took place Friday 1st of December 2017 in “Le Dernier Etage”, an innovative venue located in the last floor of a Parking lot, with a wonderful 270 degrees view over Paris.
With Paris as background and in front of +250 people, 16 amazing startups showed during their pitches why they are BNP Paribas super heroes of the customer experience.
These 16 startups are the winners of a competition that started the 9, 10 and 11 of June with an International Hackathon Weekend where –simultaneously in 10 cities all over the world– 160 startups competed with their solutions to “Create a state of the art customer experience”. After this weekend 28 startups were selected to develop and further validate their solutions along with the BNP Paribas local experts during a co-working phase. At the end of this phase the best 16 were selected as winners of the BNP Paribas International Hackathon and were invited to come to Paris to the Demo Day as they will continue their collaboration with BNP Paribas.
During the Demo Day, a jury composed by BNP Paribas Top Management, led by its two deputies COOs – Jacques D’Estais (Head of International Financial Services) and Thierry Laborde (Head of Domestic Markets) – selected their “Coup de Coeur” in three categories addressing the BNP Paribas 2020 strategic agenda.
The Coup de Coeur awarded startups are:
“Customer / Employee experience”:
Tetrao facilitates customers onboarding by digitizing the process. They are developing a unique Internet Robotic Cognitive Automation, enabling the automation of processes by simulating the behavior of a human worker manipulating an Internet browser or PDF documents, its differentiating factor being its ability to adapt to changes in the technical code of the documents.
Tetrao was selected in this category because their solution helps BNP Paribas to improve significantly the experience of our customers during the onboarding process in the bank.
The jury specially appreciated the digital experience proposed by Tetrao’s solution.
4Paradigm is a world-leading service provider of artificial intelligence, using proprietary machine learning products to help enterprises build the next generation solutions. For loans subscription, 4Paradigm’s solution is able to accurately distinguish the borrowers’ willingness and capability for repayment.
4Paradigm was selected in this category because their solution helps BNP Paribas to increase significantly an existing revenue stream.
The jury cherished that 4Paradigm solution can generate benefit in a short term.
“International integration & scalability”:
Inspirient uses Artificial Intelligence to automate business analytics, end-to-end, from raw data to presentation-ready management slides. Their replicable technology uses comprehensive probabilistic analysis methods with business common sense to automatically derive meaningful insights from diverse datasets for many use-cases.
Inspirient was selected in this category because their solution is simple to adaptand integrate into BNP Paribas production environment at an international level.
The jury valued that Inspirient solution can be used in several business cases.
Spidchain improves privacy and portability for digital identity. Their services give you the possibility to change an onboarding process that require certified information and that normally takes some days in a one minute process. We are like a certified “Facebook login” like, all customer data is certified using blockchain notarization.
Spidchain was selected in this category because their solution is simple to scale and integrate into BNP Paribas production environment at an international level, and in different business lines.
The jury valued that Spidchain solution can be used internationally and between different businesses.
